1. Introduction

Welcome to Compare Locals Ltd (“We”, “Us”, “Our”), a company registered in England and Wales under company number 15614061, with registered offices at 2nd Floor Skyways Hub, Speke Road, Speke, Liverpool, United Kingdom, L70 1AB, VAT number GB 464 7746 51. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Compare Locals platform (the "Platform").

By using the Platform, you (“User”, “Customer”) agree to these terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.
 

2. Definitions

Compare Locals allows Users to request quotes for various services from independent Service Providers. Once a booking is made, a legal contract exists between the Customer and the Service Provider. We are not responsible for the quality or execution of services provided by the Service Provider.

Our role is limited to facilitating bookings and handling payments between Customers and Service Providers.
 

4. Payments

All payments are processed through the Compare Locals platform. By submitting payment, you authorize us to collect payments on behalf of the Service Providers. Payments include a Platform Fee and any applicable service-specific charges. These will be displayed before confirming the booking.

We charge the Customer a service fee and collect a commission from the Service Provider for each booking. If extra fees arise (such as parking charges or tolls), we will inform you when possible, but they may be charged after the service is completed.

Changes to bookings can be made up until 5:00 PM the day before the service is scheduled. Changes may include service location, time, or other details. Depending on the change, we may:

9. Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute between a Customer and a Service Provider, Compare Locals will mediate as a neutral party. We will collect information from both parties and attempt to resolve the issue fairly. However, ultimate responsibility for resolving disputes lies between the Customer and the Service Provider.

If an issue arises with service quality, damages, or non-performance, the Customer must report the problem within 24 hours of service completion and provide evidence (such as photos or receipts).
 

10. Liability

Compare Locals is not liable for any loss, damage, or claim arising from the services provided by independent Service Providers. We facilitate the connection and payment between Customers and Service Providers, but we do not take responsibility for the quality or completion of the service. Customers should directly address any issues with the Service Provider.
 

11. Platform Access and Interruptions

We cannot guarantee the continuous operation of the Platform and may conduct maintenance from time to time, which may result in temporary interruptions. Compare Locals is not liable for any damages or loss resulting from Platform downtime or technical issues.
 

12. Customer Conduct

Customers are expected to behave respectfully toward Service Providers and Compare Locals staff. Any abusive, threatening, or unprofessional behavior may result in the immediate suspension of your account and cancellation of future services.
 

13. Data Protection and Privacy

We collect, use, and store your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using the Platform, you consent to our collection and use of your personal data as outlined in the Privacy Policy.
 

14. Modifications to Terms

Compare Locals reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Continued use of the Platform after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
 

15. Jurisdiction and Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

If you are dissatisfied with the Platform or a service, please contact us immediately at support@comparelocals.com. We will make every effort to address your concerns and resolve disputes in line with our Dispute Resolution Policy.
